Chevy Chase-Based NEA Takes Part in $50M Round for

New Enterprise Associates (NEA), the Chevy Chase-based venture capital firm, has taken part in a new $50 million round of funding for Massachusetts-based, developer of a web service that helps families connect with caregivers. Institutional Venture Partners (IVP) led the round, with previous backers Matrix Partners and Trinity Ventures also participating., which now has raised $61 million since its inception in 2006, has approximately 7 million members. The site helps families find caregivers in areas such as childcare, senior care, pet care, housekeeping and tutoring. In recent months, the company has embarked on international expansion, including the acquisition of Berlin-based Besser Betreut and the launches of in the U.K. and Canada.
