In the first quarter of 2014, Salsa Labs, Inc.(Salsa) nonprofit clients raised $9,471,492 through Salsa's platform that helps nonprofits grow, engage and retain their base of online support. Salsa also added the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network, Families USA, the Sunlight Foundation and others to its network of more than 2,000 organizations. In just three months, Salsa clients reached nearly 705 million potential donors through email.
"This growth in online giving says pretty clearly to us that nonprofits are embracing many of the tools that drive online engagement – including social media and one-click email fundraising," said Christine Schaefer, vice president of community and marketing for Salsa.
