FORMER NSA DIRECTOR TO HEAD CYBERSECURITY PANEL AT MAVA’S CAPITAL CONNECTION ’10

McLean, VA – April 23, 2010 Lt. General (Ret) USAF Kenneth A. Minihan, former director of the National Security Agency, has been named to lead the cybersecurity panel at Capital Connection ‘10TM, May 19-20 in Baltimore, MD. Joining Minihan on the panel are Kristin Lovejoy, Vice President, Security Strategy, IBM, and James Mobley, CEO, Neohapsis.

 

“This panel will focus on cybersecurity, information security, and risk management from national security, corporate, and personal perspectives,” said Steve Balistreri, Argy, Wiltse & Robinson and Capital Connection ’10 program co-chair along with Mark Fitzgerald, Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati, and Somak Chattopadhyay, Greenhill SAVP.

 

“This is a critically important global issue that affects all of us,” said Balistreri. “The conference audience includes investors and business executives, all of whom are dealing with building companies that are at the vanguard of technology innovation in a variety of sectors while managing the information security issues that are integral to their success.”

 

Minihan, currently a managing director of Paladin Capital Group, has more than 30 years direct experience in national, defense and military information services including his service as director of the Defense Intelligence Agency. Lovejoy combines her experience as a chief technology officer and knowledge as a risk management expert to direct IBM’s security strategy efforts, and Mobley brings his current experience as CEO of a firm specializing in governance, risk, and compliance products and security services to highly regulated commercial enterprises and government agencies.

 

Cybersecurity is one of several focus areas at Capital Connection ‘10, which brings together both industry thought leaders as speakers and showcases the best of later stage and early and expansion companies in sectors such as software/IT, education innovation, digital media, alternative energy, and health services/IT.
