First Insight raises $14M in Series B funding round
Pittsburgh-based First Insight Inc. has raised $14 million in a Series B funding round led by Washington D.C.-based Updata Partners, the company announced Thursday.
The Sewickley-based tech firm, which provides consumer-driven predictive analytics that can help retailers make faster and more accurate buying and pricing decisions, said it will use the funds to expand into new geographic areas and vertical markets and to further build out its platform.
Updata general partner James Soca will join First Insight’s board of directors.
First Insight has experienced 100 percent year-over-year growth for the last several years and continues to see new opportunities in the market, according to the company. Teen Abercrombie & Fitch, David’s Bridal and colorful accessory distributor Vera Bradley are among the company’s customers.
