McLean-based ID.me, a company that makes digital identification cards to verify eligibility for military, student or first-responder discounts, was named to Entrepreneur Magazine’s 2014 list of “100 Brilliant Companies.”
The magazine recognized the company in its “hiring” category. It was the only company in the D.C area that made the list. In 2013, map software company MapBox and conference call startup Speek were local companies that made the list.
Earlier this year, ID.me pulled in $10 million in a round of funding that was to be dedicated to building the company’s website.
