Mark Bishof

CEO & Board Member, Clarabridge

Mark Bishof is a seasoned executive with a track record of creating high performance organizations, shaping new markets and delivering world class solutions and results. As President and CEO of Flexera Software, Bishof spent 10 years growing the company from $200m to over $1B in enterprise value. Prior to that, Bishof held executive positions at Macrovision, IBM, Deloitte Consulting, Crossworlds Software and Booz, Allen & Hamilton. He is also an Operating Partner at Thoma Bravo, serves as a Board Director of Infogix and Pace Harmon, and is a Board of Trustee member of The Nature Conservancy (Virginia Chapter).

Ben Britt

General Partner, Route 66 Ventures

Ben Britt is a General Partner at Route 66 Ventures, where he leads the venture capital team and focuses on investments in early stage financial technology companies. Prior to joining Route 66, Ben was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he advised leading organizations around the globe on lean operations, strategy, and product design. Previously, Ben was a co-founder and executive of an innovative web services start-up called WiseChoice, an online college counseling resource that helped high school students and their families navigate and find ͞best fit͟ colleges. He also served in various senior roles at Goal Financial, a major student loan originator, and was responsible for capital markets transactions, securitizations, and financial analysis. Ben began his career as a submarine officer and nuclear engineer in the U.S. Navy. He holds an MBA from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an M.S. from the University of Maryland – College Park, and a B.S. in Economics from the U.S. Naval Academy, where he graduated with honors.

John Burke

CFO, CleanChoice Energy

John Burke is the CFO of CleanChoice Energy. CleanChoice Energy makes renewable energy available to everyone. You do not need to install solar panels or even own your own home. Since April 2013, CleanChoice Energy has grown to almost 100,000 customers. CleanChoice Energy has helped its customers avoid 1.9 billion pounds of carbon emissions.

John has more than 30 years of financial management experience including approximately 15 years’ experience in the deregulated energy industry in both financial and operational roles. His experience includes working with Constellation NewEnergy, as the VP of Finance for a $10B retail gas and electric business and experience with zero revenue start up enterprises. His responsibilities currently include treasury, planning, accounting, investor relations, tax management and risk management.

John joined CleanChoice Energy in May of 2016 after returning to the Baltimore Washington area after a two-year project in West Africa as the Chief Financial Officer of the Liberia Electricity Corporation.

John lives in Ellicott City, MD with his wife Helen. John’s interests include family travel, golf and ice hockey.

Richard Bush

Chief Product & Technology Officer, NYIAX

As Chief Product and Technology Officer at NYIAX, Richard Bush spearheads the ongoing development of the NYIAX platform.

Richard has more than 15 years experience in the advertising technology industry. He comes to NYIAX from IPONWEB, a key infrastructure provider in the media trading ecosystem, where he was the General Manager of its Publishing Solutions business. In this role, he guided custom projects for industry players to market, and working with teams across the globe — Japan, EU and the USA — built new products and custom platforms specifically tailored to client’s unique business models.

Richard has also served as the VP of Product and Technology at AOL Networks, and as the original programer and developer of content management and web publishing software for many of the Reed Business Information’s web properties.

Richard currently resides in the Greater New York City area.

Guy Filippelli

VP Solutions, Forcepoint, Past Founder & CEO, RedOwl

Guy Filippelli is VP Solutions for Forcepoint’s Insider Threat and Data Security business, after serving as Founder and CEO of RedOwl, which was acquired by Forcepoint in August 2017.

Prior to RedOwl, Guy co-founded Berico Technologies, a high-end engineering firm that services the federal government, and launched Oxpoint Holdings, an investment arm that has invested in and incubated multiple private ventures.

He began his career as a US Army intelligence officer, serving in Korea, Italy, Germany, and Afghanistan, and finishing his service at NSA.  In 2007, Guy received the National Intelligence Medallion, the nation’s highest award for non-governmental personnel, for his efforts in Iraq as the analytic lead of NSA’s RT-RG program.

He was born in Cleveland, Ohio, holds a B.S. in Economics from the United States Military Academy (USMA) at West Point, and received his B.A. and M.A. in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from Oxford University, where he studied as a Marshall Scholar.

He is Chairman of the Commit Foundation, a non-profit that aims to enable serendipity for transitioning veterans through intimate mentoring workshops and one-on-one transition assistance.

Bryan Gernert

CEO, Resonate

Bryan Gernert has consistently led innovative technology companies through significant growth creating over $6B in investor and shareholder value. In addition, he has been involved in raising over $1.6B from angel, venture capital, growth equity, private equity and the public markets.

As CEO of Resonate Bryan has led the company from concept to a leader in the Consumer Intelligence marketplace. Resonate’s platform is recognized by industry analysts as a leader in providing real-time intelligence to marketers, resulting in better marketing strategies, and more precise media activation based upon the same rich, ͞single source͟ data describing hundreds of millions of U.S. consumers. Resonate leverages cutting edge A.I. and big data to power its platform that allows marketers to increase customer loyalty and grow revenues.

Prior to joining Resonate, Mr. Gernert served as Senior Vice President and General Manager of the Americas for Cybertrust. In the five-year period prior to the sale of Cybertrust to Verizon for approximately $500 million, the company’s revenue grew from $36 million to over $170 million. He was an instrumental player on the executive team that orchestrated, negotiated, and completed the transaction with Verizon.

Previously, at Digex, a global web hosting and managed services provider, Mr. Gernert grew a start-up company into a business with annual revenues of $240 million. During his tenure Digex raised over $1.3 billion through an IPO and secondary offering and sold Digex to WorldCom in a $5.7 billion transaction. Mr. Gernert has also held management positions with Evergreen Information Technologies and RCI.

Joe Harar

CFO, EdgeConneX

Mr. Harar has eight years of telecommunications, venture capital and investment banking experience. Before joining the EdgeConneX management team in 2013, Joe was a member of the EdgeConneX Board of Directors. Prior to EdgeConneX, Joe was a Principal at TDF Ventures, where he focused on investments in fixed and wireless communications, software and technology services. Joe also helped run corporate development at BSG, where he was involved in all aspects of global M&A and corporate finance. Previously, Joe served in the investment banking group at Morgan Joseph & Company and as an analyst for the Thurston Group, a Chicago-based private equity firm focused on Internet-based services, technology and telecommunications.

Joe graduated from University of Virginia with a BS in Finance and Management.

Timothy Heydon

CEO, Shenandoah Growers

Tim Heydon came to Shenandoah Growers via an MBA project. Along with a few classmates, he wrote a case study on the small fresh herbs producer in Harrisonburg, Virginia, as part of his MBA studies at nearby James Madison University. As a result, Tim recognized the company’s long-term potential.

He joined Shenandoah full-time as an equity partner and CEO in 1998. At that time, the company still only employed about 20 individuals and operated out of a small farm and 1,000 square foot packing facility.

Since that time, Shenandoah has grown annual sales at a 26 percent compound rate. Today, the company is the largest and most technologically advanced supplier of organic fresh herbs and micro greens in the United States. It employs over 1,200 team members across a network of greenhouses, farms, and packing facilities in ten states: Virginia, Georgia, Indiana, Michigan, Colorado, Texas, Arizona, California, Washington, and Hawaii.

Mark Levine

Managing Director, Core Capital Partners

A proven executive and entrepreneur with over 20 years experience developing high-growth software companies, Mr. Howard leads Sonatype’s corporate marketing, strategic partnering, and demand generation initiatives. Prior to Sonatype, Mr. Howard co-founded, developed and successfully sold two software companies. Earlier in his career Mr. Howard led sales and marketing at USinternetworking (acquired by AT&T) and Groove Networks (acquired by Microsoft) where his teams distributed workgroup collaboration products to enterprise customers. Mr. Howard holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The George Washington University and a Master of Arts from George Mason University.

Matt Howard

SVP & CMO, Sonatype

Dr. Mark Matties

Chief Scientist, Intelligent Combat Platforms, Principal Computer Scientist for Artificial Intelligence, Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab

Dr. Mark Matties is currently the Chief Scientist in the Intelligent Combat Platforms group and a Principal Computer Scientist for Artificial Intelligence at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab where he works on issues in artificial intelligence and autonomy. He has also served as the Chief Scientist in the Communication and Networking Systems group where he worked on Software Defined Networking solutions to improve network security and performance. He is interested in the broad application of blockchain technologies, including to create auditable information flows as well as secure networking and computing systems. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Michigan, a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from the University of Akron and has done post-doctoral research at the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research in Mainz, Germany.

Tom Matzzie

President & CEO, CleanChoice Energy

Tom Matzzie is founder, president and CEO of CleanChoice Energy. Tom started CleanChoice Energy in 2011 to offer consumers a simpler way to purchase renewable energy for their home or business. Tom has been creating and growing businesses for more than 20 years, from inspiring innovation at Fortune 500 media, technology, and telecom companies as the principal of Gladius Strategy to transforming MoveOn.org into a leading national political voice through his prior work as Washington Director. Prior to MoveOn, Tom developed powerful online communities and pioneered Internet innovations now considered best practices. Tom is a widely-recognized entrepreneur. He has raised more than $250 million to start and expand his businesses and organizations. In 2015 he was recognized as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year finalist and was named “a rising star” by The New York Times Magazine.

Fletcher McCraw

Partnership Lead and Consultant, Cognizant

Fletcher McCraw is a Partnership Lead and Consultant within Cognizant’s Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Practice, overseeing cross-industry growth in the practice. Bringing seven years of consulting experience in the healthcare and financial services industries to this role, Fletcher advises clients on blockchain strategy, use cases, technology selection and implementation. He also manages Cognizant’s partnerships with distributed ledger technology start-ups, trade associations and industry consortia. He is also a member of HIMSS Blockchain Working Group, the Smart Contracts Alliance, and the Token Alliance. This year, Fletcher was part of the first US sanctioned blockchain trade delegation to the Middle East. He holds an MBA from The University of Maryland Robert H. Smith School of Business.

Marc Solomon

CMO, ThreatQuotient

As the CMO of ThreatQuotient, Marc Solomon leads all aspects of the company’s global marketing strategies, initiatives and programs. He has a strong track record driving growth and building teams for fast growing security companies, resulting in several successful liquidity events. Prior to ThreatQuotient he served as Vice President of Security Marketing for Cisco Systems’ following its $2.7 billion acquisition of Sourcefire, Inc. While at Sourcefire, Marc served as Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Products. He has also held leadership positions at Fiberlink MaaS360 (acquired by IBM), McAfee (acquired by Intel), Everdream (acquired by Dell), Deloitte Consulting and HP. Marc also serves as an Advisor to a number of technology companies, including Phantom Cyber.

Elisabeth Stahl

Distinguished Engineer, IBM Worldwide Client Centers

Elisabeth Stahl is Distinguished Engineer in the IBM Systems Worldwide Client Centers and has been working in IT Infrastructure for over 30 years. Her current focus is on Blockchain, Hybrid Cloud, Mainframe Modernization and Cognitive technologies. She is a member of the IBM Academy of Technology Leadership Team, IEEE Senior Member, and is on the Board of Directors of Computer Measurement Group and The Music Settlement. Elisabeth holds a BA in Mathematics from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from New York University.

Rob Wenger

Co-Founder & CEO, Higher Logic

Rob Wenger is a successful entrepreneur and business executive with an outstanding track record of over 20 years in building, growing and leading high-tech companies. As the CEO of Higher Logic, his clients’ success is always top of mind. He works to positively impact each of Higher Logic’s clients using smart, collaborative technology.

Tammy Wincup

COO, EverFi

Tammy Wincup is the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at EverFi, a leading education technology company focused on teaching learners of all ages the critical skills that life and work demand. As COO, Tammy oversees EverFi’s 500 team members across the U.S. and Canada, the development of EverFi’s digital learning technology platform, the implementation of the technology in over 20,000 K-12 schools and 1700 college campuses, and supporting the over 4,300 customers that fund the digital learning in schools. Founded in 2008, EverFi is a venture-backed company with investments from The Rise Fund, TPG Growth, Amazon Founder Jeff Bezos, Twitter Founder Evan Williams, and Google Chairman Eric Schmidt.

Tammy’s career has always been at the intersection of technology, workforce development, and education. Tammy worked in South Africa and Egypt leading education and workforce development projects for Price Waterhouse’s International Strategy Group. She returned to the United States to run customer services for a technology start-up in San Francisco, and at Diamond Technology Partners, a public company focused on helping Fortune 500 companies innovate with technology. After September 11th, 2001, Tammy was appointed to the U.S. Department of State, where she helped developed and managed a $300 million fund focused on economic and education foreign assistance to the Middle East. In 2006, she refocused on education technology in the U.S. working with leading for-profit education companies and education organizations, including New Schools Venture Fund.

Outside of EverFi, the focus of Tammy’s community work centers on the critically important issues of two education equity and girls empower. As a part of this work, Tammy was selected as a Pahara – Aspen Institute Education Fellow, a competitive program reserved for leaders who have demonstrated commitment and results in education. She is also a long-serving Trustee at E.L. Haynes Public Charter School in Washington, D.C.

Tammy earned her Masters of Public Policy in International Economic Policy from the University of Maryland and her undergraduate degree from the University of Virginia.
