Opening Keynote
Sid Banerjee
Co-Founder and Executive Chairman, Clarabridge

SID BANERJEE is a well-known expert in customer experience, business intelligence, and text analytics. A Clarabridge co-founder, he provides Clarabridge with vision and direction for achieving customer success while also managing executive relationships with key current and prospective customers.

A highly-regarded figure in the Washington, DC technology scene, Sid has been recognized as a Washington Business Journal Most Admired CEO, a Greater Washington Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, and a CIT Gap 50 Entrepreneur Award winner.

Prior to Clarabridge, he co-founded Claraview, a leading BI strategy and technology consultancy firm. Under Sid’s leadership, Claraview grew into a thriving services firm with over 130 employees without any outside funding. Claraview was acquired by Teradata, a leading data warehousing and business intelligence company, in March 2008.

Over his career, Sid has amassed over 25 years of leadership experience. A founding employee at MicroStrategy, he held Vice President-level positions in both product marketing and worldwide services. During his tenure leading MicroStrategy’s worldwide services division, he grew the organization to a 500+ person organization supporting enterprise deployments of BI solutions. Before joining MicroStrategy, Sid held management positions at Ernst & Young and Sprint International. Sid has a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Susan Tynan
Founder and CEO, Framebridge

SUSAN TYNAN is the founder and CEO of Framebridge, a DC-based start-up revolutionizing custom picture framing. Using the Framebridge website or app, customers can easily select a frame style, mail or upload art and photos, and receive the finished products, beautifully framed, directly to their door, at less than half retail prices. Framebridge has raised $11M in funding from Revolution Ventures, NEA, and Tim O’Shaughnessy.

Prior to Framebridge, Susan held senior product, ops, and business development roles in several consumer technology start-ups. At LivingSocial, Susan launched and managed three business lines, including the home services business (which featured many framing deals). Other start-up experience includes Taxi Magic, Revolution Health, and Promontory Interfinancial. Susan worked for the White House as a management advisor on technology and customer service issues. She began her career at Accenture. Susan earned her MBA from Harvard Business School and her BA with Distinction from the University of Virginia.

PIC - John Czupak, ThreatQuotient 2016


John Czupak serves as President and CEO of ThreatQuotient, where he drives the company’s global expansion and manages financial growth. Mr. Czupak has played a critical role in multiple companies that resulted in successful liquidity events. Prior to ThreatQuotient, he served as General Manager for Cisco Systems’ Advanced Malware Protection (“FireAMP”) product line following its $2.7 billion acquisition of Sourcefire, Inc.

Mr. Czupak served in a number of additional roles during his 12-year career at Sourcefire, including Senior Vice President, Corporate and Business Development, General Manager FireAMP and Senior Vice President, International & Business Development. Before Sourcefire, Mr. Czupak was the SVP of Worldwide Sales for Mountain Wave, Inc., which was acquired by Symantec Corporation in July of 2002. Prior to Mountain Wave, Mr. Czupak was the Vice President of Worldwide Channels for Riverbed Technologies, a leader in mobile and wireless computing.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Czupak was an original member of the management team and Vice President of Asia Pacific and Latin America for AXENT Technologies. Mr. Czupak serves as an Advisor and Board member to a number of technology companies, including Sonatype, PFP CyberSecurity and Cybrary.

Inner Loop Capital

Justin Label is Inner Loop’s principal investor.  Justin has fifteen years’ experience working with private companies as a venture capital investor and advisor.  He spent ten years at Bessemer Venture Partners in Silicon Valley, where he was involved with most of BVP’s Cyber Security investments between 2001 and 2011.  From 2011 to 2014 Justin was an independent advisor to private companies in Cloud and Enterprise Software, primarily in the San Francisco Bay Area.

At Bessemer, Justin served on the board of Tripwire, Inc., a $100m-revenue Cyber Security company originally based on the successful Tripwire open source code.  He sourced Bessemer’s investments in Postini, the leading service-based email security company (acquired by Google); Cyota, the innovative financial security and anti-phishing service (acquired by RSA/EMC); and Elemental Security, the unsuccessful but brilliant and ambitious vision of Cyber Security guru Dan Farmer (COPS, SATAN).  Justin also served as a board observer or diligence lead for Cyber Security companies Finjan, Counterpane, Qualys, Sarvega, Nominum, LifeLock and Site Advisor.

Justin moved to Baltimore in 2014.  The D.C. – Baltimore Cyber Corridor contains a terrific ecosystem of Cyber Security companies and has a great track record of building large companies (SourceFire, SafeNet, Mandiant, Tenable, etc.)  Justin founded Inner Loop in 2015 to make personal investments in and work directly with the next generation of Cyber Security companies in the Cyber Corridor.

Justin currently serves on the board of Redbooth, a Bay Area Cloud-based enterprise collaboration and communications company.  He lives in Baltimore, MD (at the northern end of the Cyber Corridor) with his wife and three children.

Core Capital Partners

Evan MacQueen joined Core Capital Partners in 2011 and focuses on investments in the analytics, cloud, cybersecurity, and technology infrastructure spaces. Previously, Evan was an Associate at BIA Digital Partners, a mezzanine investment firm providing growth and buyout investment capital to the media, telecommunications, and technology-enabled business services sectors. Evan is an active member of the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association and a frequent speaker and panelist on venture capital and entrepreneurship. He also heads VC in DC, a networking group for DC-area venture capital and growth equity investors. Evan holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Washington and Lee University.

Jen O'Daniel

CIT Gap Funds

Jennifer O’Daniel joined CIT GAP Funds in 2003, and is responsible for sourcing, diligencing and closing of seed and early stage investments. As part of the investment team, O’Daniel has been part of transactions in over 100 seed and early-stage companies via CIT GAP Funds which has been recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine’s Annual VC100 list since 2006. O’Daniel is also the founder and managing director of VT Investor Network (VTIN) which is 75+ member angel group that invests in Hokie-led companies. She currently sits on the board of directors for the Roanoke-Blacksburg Technology Council and VT’s APEX Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship.

Jonathan Perl joined Boulder Ventures in 2002 and has over 18 years of venture capital experience focused exclusively on early-stage information technology companies. Mr. Perl currently sits on the boards of Zenoss, Intellinote, SurfwatchLabs, Terrago Technologies, eMinor, and FlyByMedia. In addition, he is a board observer at Clarabridge and MediaMath.

Mr. Perl also serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of the Mid-Atlantic Venture Association.

Representative recent past investments include iLumin Software Services, Inc (sold to Computer Associates), ERA Corporation (sold to SRA International), Metron Aviation, Inc. (sold to Airbus), and RedCloud Security, Inc. (sold to Avigilon).

Prior to Boulder Ventures, Mr. Perl joined Intersouth Partners in 1997 as a member of the third class of Kaufman Fellows and in 1999 became a Partner. He was responsible for the sourcing, due diligence, structuring and negotiation of more than a dozen early stage investments, including several highly successful companies. He led Intersouth’s investments in InvoiceLink Corporation (sold to BCE Emergis) and Extensibility, Inc. (sold to TIBCO Software).

Mr. Perl is a part board member of the North Carolina Council for Entrepreneurial Development and served on the executive committee of the Board of Trustees and was Treasurer of National Child Research Center, a preschool in Washington, DC, from 2008-2012.

Mr. Perl holds an MBA from the Amos Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College (1997) and a BA (magna cum laude) in classical history from Tufts University (1988).

PIC - Tom Woteki Spring 2016

Senior Vice President

Tom Woteki serves as a Sr. Vice President of MAXIMUS, a publicly traded corporation operating internationally providing business process outsourcing and comprehensive IT services and solutions to government at all levels. Reporting to the president, Tom provides strategic leadership entities in the area of predictive analytics and the development of advanced solutions in support of customers’ mission critical needs. He also plays a leadership role in identifying new and emerging technologies and developing partnerships and alliances with selected companies and organizations.

Background & Education

Tom has over 30 years’ experience in large-scale systems engineering and integration and software development in both the public and private sectors. Tom joined MAXIMUS upon its acquisition of Acentia, a systems integrator focused on the Federal government, for whom he was CTO. Prior to Acentia he gained experience with commercial product development from his time at Cisco, where he started Cisco’s Healthcare Solutions business and led a global consulting practice. Before Cisco he was CIO and Sr. Vice President at the American Red Cross where he gained experience with medical device product development and associated regulatory issues. Prior to that Tom was a senior executive at Northrop Grumman leading development of the Defense Travel System; led development of clinical data systems for Merck Research Labs; was the chief architect who led the development of the SEC’s EDGAR system while at BDM International; launched his own company; and worked in the Department of Energy developing national statistical surveys. Early in his career Tom held faculty appointments at Princeton University and the University of Texas at San Antonio in statistics and mathematics. Tom earned a PhD in statistics from Va. Tech in 1972 as well as a BS and MS in mathematics from Tech.

Tom is an active participant in the professional community including the Northern Virginian Technology Council, the Professional Services Council and ACT-IAC, among others.

Tom is an accomplished gourmet cook, an avid wine collector, enjoys hiking in our National Parks and plays the 5-string banjo and guitar. Tom and his wife Cathie are long-time residents of Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
